Kingdom Hearts is an action role-playing game that incorporates characters from both the Final Fantasy and Disney universes. This created a very unique chemistry
and an enjoyable experience for all, as while the main character (Sora) was completely new to the series, most of the characters who help or hinder him along the way
were very recognisable faces.
The game itself was praised by most quarters for its adventurous take on the action role-playing genre, because it incorporated a lot of action-adventure into the
gameplay too. It was also significant because it was Tetsuya Nomura's first role as the director of a Square Enix game.
